Nature's Carbon

Holly is a PhD student at Imperial College London, based in the Department of Life Sciences at Silwood Park. She completed her master’s degree in Marine Ecosystem Management at the University of St Andrews, where she investigated the core habitat of Antarctic krill in the Southern Ocean and assessed the potential impacts of climate change. Building on her background in biological sciences, Holly is interested in integrating statistical and modelling approaches to better understand complex ecological systems. Her research focuses on developing spatio-temporal models of krill distribution and abundances, with a particular interest in how her research can inform policy and the sustainable management of marine living resources.

Key interests: Statistical and ecological modelling Antarctic krill ecology Polar marine ecosystems Marine policy and management Science-policy communication
